Blogging from A to Z April Challenge: A is for Thorvald Aagaard

A2Z-BADGE-0002015-LifeisGood-230_zps660c38a0 This is day 1 of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge in which I attempt to blog every day (excepting Sundays) throughout the month of April. For this challenge, I am curating a collection of “classical” music pieces, which are lesser known or by lesser known composers (to me at least).

Today’s composer is Thorvald Aagaard (1877 – 1937).

He was a Danish Composer some of whose works have become popular Danish songs.

You can’t get much more ‘A’ than ‘Aagaard’! Lovely wee tune, in structure very similar to English folk songs.

  2. Clever use of the A-prompt.
I’m doing 5 blogs for the Ato Z Blog Challenge this year. (I did 10 last year, but it was a LOT.) Hope you’ll stop by at: Heart of a Ready Writer, Kicking MS to the Curb, The Mane Point: A Haven for Horse Lovers, Nicker and Ink Poetry & Humor, or Practically at Home. Happy A to Z April!
